The Outsourcing Industry

The outsourcing industry has grown significantly over the past decade. Zalaris is positioned to continue capitalizing on related demand today as well as for many years to come.

Zalaris delivers tomorrow’s strategic and operative HR solutions today, including cloud-based solutions now compatible with all platforms. Our offerings ensure greater efficiency and corresponding cost savings, while both employers and employees receive better services.

Zalaris’ focus is squarely in line with customer needs. According to HfS Research and KPMG’s C-Suite Priorities in 2015, cost is the “new black.” Enterprise buyer executives cite that driving down operating costs and delivering cost-effective flexible services are the top two mission-critical priorities, facilitating greater focus on value to customers and operating model performance. These are key reasons for choosing Zalaris as an HR services provider.

Growth drivers for Zalaris include market acceptance for cloud-based services. HfS Research also asked in what areas buyer executives are considering cloud for replacement of traditional outsourcing: 22% of respondents stated that they already have at least one cloud-based service for the HR function, 8% are starting to evaluate this option, and 39% are interested but have not yet found anything suitable. In other words, HR is ripe for cloud outsourcing.

In 2014, customers were no longer focusing on bringing services back in-house, but on optimizing vendor relationships and improving operational flexibility, according to Deloitte’s 2014 Global Outsourcing and Insourcing Survey. Based on a survey of 140 companies in 30 different countries, Deloitte has identified specific dimensions representing changes affecting the outsourcing industry. These categories included technology, location strategy, regulation, and legislation. Here are the related key points and correlations to Zalaris initiatives and services.

Technology

Cloud computing and business processes “as a service” are driving growth within the outsourcing industry. In addition, innovations like mobility and big data are having a major impact on sourcing decisions. Zalaris’ latest developments include new mobile app functionality that further simplifies HR processes and transactions through cloud solutions.

Location strategy

India continues to represent the primary destination for offshoring, especially for English- language operations, and a global hub for multi-location sourcing strategy. In Q3/15 Zalaris opened a new office in Chennai, India. At the end of last year, we lifted our offshoring goal to 25% of total hours by 2017.

Legislation and regulation

Respondents are unanimously opposed to legislation limiting offshoring. Increased costs will basically be passed through to customers. While data privacy may affect outsourcing negatively, relaxation of employment-related regulation in Europe may positively impact related trends. In 2014, the Norwegian authorities removed the requirements for physical deliverance of time and travel expenses. This shift opened up the opportunity for Zalaris to develop and launch a new mobile solution supporting the paperless direction and other advantages.
